Biography

Alexis Vasseur earned his Ph.D. in mathematics at the Pierre et Marie Curie University (Sorbonne University) in Paris (France). He held permanent positions at the CNRS (France), and at the University of Oxford (UK). He now holds the John T. Stuart III Centennial Professorship in Mathematics at the University of Texas at Austin and is a Fellow of the American Mathematical Society since 2016.

Vasseur's concerns the mathematical study of partial differential equations applied to fluid mechanics.
