Biography
I am a graduate student at the University of Texas at Austin. I am interested in low-dimensional topology and knot theory. I attended the University of West Alabama for undergrad.
Research
I currently think about 4-manifolds in the topological category. Then my secret hobby is thinking about concordance questions, whether classical knots or knotted surfaces.
Outside of maths, I am a former NCAA athlete (5000m/10,000m runner) and blues guitar player. I have hiked from Springer Mountain up past the Smokey Mountains on the Appalachian Trail. I hope to through-hike the trail one day.
