Biography

Jeffrey Danciger is an associate professor in the Department of Mathematics. He earned his Ph.D. in mathematics from Stanford University. Danciger was a visiting assistant professor at Stanford University and served as an R.H. Bing Instructor and NSF Postdoctoral Fellow at UT Austin. His research focuses on the geometry, topology, and deformation theory of locally homogeneous geometric structures on manifolds, encompassing areas such as semi-Riemannian, affine, and projective geometries. Danciger has been recognized with several honors, including an Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship and an NSF CAREER Grant. He also serves as the director of the Texas Experimental Geometry Lab (TXGL), which introduces undergraduates to research in geometry, topology, and dynamics through computational and experimental projects.
