Biography
I am a Bing Postdoctoral Instructor in the math department at UT Austin working with Joe Kileel. Previously, I was a postdoc of Bernd Sturmfels in the nonlinear algebra group at the Max Planck Institute in Leipzig, Germany. I completed my PhD in May of 2022 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison advised by Jose Rodriguez and Bernie Lesieutre. Prior to his retirement, I also worked with Nigel Boston.
My research interests are in applied algebra and convex geometry. Specifically, using techniques from algebraic geometry to solve problems arising in power engineering, statistics and optimization. An up-to-date version of my publications are given here.
