Log GW/DT correspondence for toric pairs
Description
Given a projective threefold, the GW/DT correspondence relates two approaches to counting curves on X, either via counting maps from abstract curves or via counting embedded subschemes. In this talk, I will survey this correspondence, its extension to snc pairs (X,D), and discuss its proof when X is toric and D is a union of toric divisors. Even when D is empty, the logarithmic setting allows us to prove stronger results than the classical theory. This is joint work with Dhruv Ranganathan.
