Junior Geometry and QFT Seminar

In 1994, Seiberg and Witten wrote a historic paper describing the complete solution of N=2 SU(2) Super Yang Mills theory. In this talk, I will review their work. I will try to introduce all the necessary field theory background and give references wherever necessary. If time permits, I will also talk about the relationship between the Seiberg-Witten theory and non-compact Calabi-Yau 3-folds.
